Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc has approved the assignment of the Ha Tinh People's Committee as the lead agency for implementing the Ben Thuy 3 Bridge connector project linking central Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces.
With an estimated investment of VND2.51 trillion (approximately $96 million), the project is expected to strengthen regional connectivity and support socio-economic development across Vietnam's North Central region.
Under the preliminary proposal, the route will extend approximately 3.5 km, including a 1.3-km bridge with a width of 23.5 meters. The bridge will be constructed using prestressed reinforced concrete, while the main span is proposed to feature a steel arch design. The approach road will stretch about 0.6 km in Nghe An and 1.6 km in Ha Tinh.
