The Da Nang Free Trade Zone - Location No. 2 (EAGLE FTZ) has officially launched, marking the first concrete step in realizing Vietnam’s pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) model, reported the VOV online newspaper.

EAGLE FTZ is the inaugural infrastructure project within the Da Nang FTZ. Spanning 75 ha with a total investment of over VND1.568 trillion ($60 million), the project is located at the  central city’s northern gateway. It boasts seamless connectivity to Lien Chieu Port, the national highway and railway systems, and the Da Nang International Airport.

According to a development plan, EAGLE FTZ is expected to gradually establish a modern ecosystem for logistics, manufacturing, and international trade.

The project emphasizes the application of digital technology and energy efficiency to generate high value per hectare. It also aims to strengthen synergies between seaports, high-tech parks, industrial zones, and both domestic and international supply chains.

Mr. Mai Cong Ho, General Director of Saigon – Da Nang Investment Corporation (SDN), stated that the company is not merely focusing on industrial real estate. Instead, it aims to build an integrated logistics-manufacturing-service ecosystem where businesses can access multiple links of the value chain in a single location.

According to Mr. Ho, the project’s competitive edge lies not only in its prime location—connecting Lien Chieu Port, National Highway 1A, the railway, the airport, and the East-West Economic Corridor—but also in its high service quality, rapid administrative procedures, transparency, and long-term commitment to investors.

Head of the Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones Management Board, Mr. Vu Quang Hung, emphasized that the launch of EAGLE FTZ  brings the FTZ policy to life, transforming opportunities into action and turning potential into a powerful resource for development.
