The central city of Da Nang is actively promoting and calling for investment in a 276-hectare land plot at location number 7 within the Da Nang Free Trade Zone.
This initiative is part of the city's economic development strategy, aiming to maximize the advantages of its geographical location and infrastructure.
The Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones Authority (DSEZA) has released detailed information about the investment project for infrastructure construction and business in this functional area.
The project is located in Hoa Vang commune, with a goal of constructing and operating infrastructure in the functional area of the Da Nang Free Trade Zone. This is a crucial part of the region's development orientation, aligning with national and local planning that has been approved.
The project covers 276 hectares, with an operational period not exceeding 70 years from the date the State decides to lease the land and change its use purpose. The current status of the land has not undergone site clearance, providing an opportunity for investors to participate from the initial stages.
Geographically, the land is bordered to the north by the existing residential area of Hoa Phu village and Ho Cau lake, to the south by the road along the Tuy Loan river, to the east by the Western Ring Road, and to the west by the hills of Phu Tuc village.
Currently, Da Nang is focusing on completing the proposal to adjust and expand the boundaries of the Free Trade Zone, while effectively exploiting the area's advantages linked to Lien Chieu seaport, Chu Lai Open Economic Zone, Chu Lai airport, and the dynamic urban areas in the southern part of the city. With continuous efforts, Da Nang is opening up many attractive investment opportunities for both domestic and international businesses.
The Da Nang Free Trade Zone is Vietnam's first special economic zone, which covered approximately 1,881 hectares and has been divided into seven non-contiguous locations. This model focuses on production, logistics, trade services, digital technology, and innovation, closely connected with the deep-water port of Lien Chieu. The main areas include a logistics center and smart warehouse logistics serving Lien Chieu port; production, trade, and service areas; and a digital technology, information technology, and innovation industrial zone.
As of now, Da Nang has approved investment policies or granted investment registration certificates for four out of the seven locations (sub-zones) of the Da Nang Free Trade Zone (FTZ).
Specifically, the locations with official investors include:
- Location number 2 (75 hectares), with Saigon - Da Nang Investment Corporation approved by the city People's Committee as the investor of the functional area infrastructure project (focusing on logistics, warehousing, and service workshops). The construction of this location is expected to officially commence on National Day, September 2, 2026;
- Location number 3 (approximately 500 hectares), with Phuong Trang Investment Corporation selected as the investor for the construction and business of the functional area infrastructure, with a total investment of nearly VND8.2 trillion (more than $313 million);
- Location number 4 (335 hectares), with Thanh Binh Phu My Corporation approved as investor of the Phu My 3 Da Nang FTZ Industrial Park project, with a total investment of nearly VND5.4 trillion (more than $205.6 million); and
- Location number 5 (approximately 90 hectares), with Ba Na Cable Car Service Corporation (part of Sun Group) selected as the investor, with a total projected investment of over VND808 billion (more than $30.85 million).
The remaining locations, including numbers 1, 6, and 7, are being promoted by the city for investment.
The Da Nang Free Trade Zone is expected to become an ideal investment destination for investors both domestical and international, contributing to sustainable economic development for the city and the country's central region.
