Central Da Nang city launched the 2026 Da Nang Startup and Innovation Festival (SURF 2026) on August 19, bringing together domestic and international resources to strengthen the city’s startup and innovation ecosystem.

The event aims to promote collaboration among government agencies, businesses, investors, universities, research institutions and the startup community. It also provides startups with opportunities to access capital, technology, markets and global development networks.

According to the organizers, a key highlight of SURF 2026 is its expanded international cooperation, with a focus on cross-border investment and strategic technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductors, digital technology, blockchain, green technology and digital transformation.

The two-day event features a range of activities, including the Da Nang Startup and Innovation Competition and a startup and innovation exhibition. The event also includes the launch of a technology and innovation demonstration space of Daegu (South Korea), in Da Nang.

Another highlight is the announcement of an international certification from StartupBlink recognizing Da Nang as Vietnam’s fastest-growing startup ecosystem.

Through these activities, SURF 2026 seeks to strengthen connections between startups and investors while positioning Da Nang as a regional hub for innovation, technology and entrepreneurship.
