Under Prime Ministerial Decision No.1300/QD-TTg, signed by Prime Minister Le Minh Hung on July 16, Vietnamese Minister of Finance Ngo Van Tuan  has been appointed  Chairman of the Vietnam–Laos Cooperation Committee.

The body is under the Vietnam – Laos Intergovernmental Committee for Bilateral Cooperation.

Minister Ngo Van Tuan will be assisted by Deputy Minister of Finance Tran Quoc Phuong as the Vice Chairman of the Vietnam–Laos Cooperation Committee.

Members of the Vietnam–Laos Cooperation Committee include Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Tuong Van, and senior officials from the Government Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Construction, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.
