The Vietnamese Prime Minister has ordered ministries, central agencies and local authorities to urgently review and resolve difficulties affecting long-delayed projects nationwide.
The Prime Ministerial Directive, dated August 22, 2026, called for a comprehensive review, classification and solutions for stalled projects.
The Ministry of Finance, which serves as the standing agency of Steering Committee 751, has repeatedly asked ministries, central agencies and local authorities to update data and propose measures to address outstanding projects through the 751 system.
As of July 31, the system had recorded 4,619 projects and land-related cases facing difficulties and unresolved obstacles.
The Prime Ministerial Directive said resolving these projects is essential to unlocking resources for socio-economic development and supporting the Government’s target of achieving “double-digit” economic growth.
Provincial and municipal authorities, ministries and agencies responsible for managing or investing in the projects must urgently review, compile and classify all outstanding cases.
Provincial and municipal Party leaders, as well as heads of ministries and agencies, are required to directly oversee the process. Issues within their authority must be resolved decisively, while matters beyond their jurisdiction must be clearly identified and solutions proposed promptly.
All updates must be completed by September 15, 2026, the Directive said.
