Commenting on a draft project on developing Vietnam’s international shipping fleet, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) said there is currently no specialized legal document stipulating priority levels, tax incentives, and loan interest rates in fleet development investment and shipping activities. The roles of ministries, sectors, and localities should be clearer, it added, from policy formulation to infrastructure development and related services.

At the “Land Law - Housing Law - Law on Real Estate Business, for housing development and the real estate market” conference discussing amendments, analysts said that there are still many obstacles and inadequacies in these laws that will make it difficult for the real estate market to recover from Covid-19. Analysts suggested that there be solutions introduced to overcome this situation in the near future to develop Vietnam’s real estate market.

Many recommendations were made at a government meeting with development banks on removing difficulties in promoting the disbursement of ODA loans.
