According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, priority must be given to defending staple commodity groups that form the foundation of exports, notably wood, wooden products, and seafood, while maintaining momentum in fruits & vegetables, especially durian.

Vietnam generated nearly $49.31 billion from agricultural, forestry, and aquatic exports in January-August, up 7 percent year-on-year.

Asia continues to be the largest regional market for Vietnamese agro-forestry-fishery goods, accounting for 45.2% of total trade turnover, followed by the Americas (21.4%), Europe (13.8%), Africa (2.3%), and Oceania (1.4%).

In terms of market regions, Asia remained the largest destination for Vietnam's agro-forestry-fishery products, accounting for 45.1% of the total market share.
