The 2026 Vietnam–Japan Festival officially opened on the evening of July 9 in central Da Nang city, drawing thousands of residents and visitors with more than 100 exhibition booths and a vibrant lineup of cultural, artistic and sporting events celebrating the friendship between the two countries.

A key highlight of the festival, which runs from July 9 to 12, is the conference titled "Meet Japan in Da Nang: Comprehensive Strategic Partnership – Towards a Sustainable Future." The event brings together  representatives of local governments, organizations and businesses from both countries. Discussion sessions focus on expanding cooperation between localities, promoting cultural, sports and tourism exchanges, and supporting the development of Vietnam's International Financial Centre in Da Nang.

The festival also serves as a platform for Da Nang to showcase the achievements of its long-standing partnership with Japan while creating new opportunities for collaboration in investment, trade, tourism, education, and science and technology.

As part of the program, Japanese delegations are visiting key development sites, including Da Nang Software Park No. 2, the  International Financial Centre, the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park and the city's industrial parks, to gain first-hand insights into the city's investment environment and long-term growth potential.
