Vietnam's first local Government complex earns EDGE Advanced Green Certification

Central Khanh Hoa province has become home to Vietnam's first provincial government headquarters to receive the internationally recognized EDGE Advanced green building certification, marking a significant milestone in the country's public-sector sustainable construction.

The certification plaque was unveiled at a ceremony jointly organized by the Khanh Hoa People's Committee and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), with support from the Australian Government.

The new political and administrative complex, located at 1 Tran Phu Street in Nha Trang Ward, covers 2.3 hectares with a total investment of more than VND544.6 billion ($20.8 million). The project broke ground in April 2024, was completed after nearly two years of construction and is now fully operational.

Developed by the IFC, the EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) certification is used in more than 129 countries and territories to assess buildings' performance in energy efficiency, water conservation and sustainable building materials.
