VNet Joint Stock Company and Canadian technology firm Quantropi have officially announced their strategic partnership alongside the Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) Readiness Assessment Program in Vietnam.
Unveiled at the C-Level Leadership Roundtable Seminar themed "Post-Quantum Security: Data Governance Challenges and Implementation Roadmaps for Enterprises and Organizations in Vietnam," the strategic initiative was jointly announced by VNet and Quantropi. Co-hosted by Tap chi Kinh te Vietnam / Vietnam Economic Times (VnEconomy), Quantropi, and VNet, the event centered on guiding Vietnamese entities through their security posture assessment and the strategic transition to quantum-resilient protection mechanisms.
Mr. Duong Anh Duc, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Anti-Counterfeiting and Brand Protection Association (VATAP) and Chairman of VNet, stated that the collaboration between the two parties extends far beyond a specific IT product or solution. Instead, it aims to foster broader cross-border cooperation between the two nations and progressively access international markets.
According to Mr. Duc, Vietnam currently holds a valuable opportunity to engage more deeply in research, development, and the creation of technological products, moving away from mere reliance on imported solutions. He expressed his aspiration for all stakeholders to collaborate on developing high-quality, highly secure products capable of meeting rigorous global market demands.
Mr. James Nguyen, Co-founder and CEO of Quantropi, introduced QiSpace as an advanced quantum-secure platform developed by his company. The platform integrates comprehensive data and system protection solutions against quantum computing threats, encompassing post-quantum cryptography, quantum random number generation (QRNG), and symmetric cryptography.
In Vietnam, QiSpace is introduced through the partnership between Quantropi and VNet to empower enterprises in the post-quantum era while training the next generation of software developers in the country. He noted that QiSpace enables an unlimited number of applications, empowering individuals with programming knowledge and creative ideas to build applications resilient against both quantum computing and artificial intelligence challenges.
Currently, QiSpace is undergoing deployment with a number of pilot customers. Looking ahead, both organizations expect to expand the platform across Vietnam's university network, evolving it into a collaborative hub connecting enterprises, academic institutions, government bodies, and the technology community.
Representatives from Quantropi also revealed plans to establish a dedicated Research and Development (R&D) center for post-quantum cryptography, designed to encourage active participation from community members, universities, government agencies, and interested corporations.
The establishment of this community platform is anticipated to create a conducive environment for stakeholders to explore, research, and develop PQC-related applications, thereby expanding the workforce and nurturing a next-generation security technology ecosystem in Vietnam.
The cooperative activities between VNet and Quantropi unfold against a backdrop where the rapid evolution of quantum computing necessitates a fundamental reassessment of data protection across existing encryption systems. Early preparation - spanning readiness evaluation, workforce development, and application deployment serves as a vital step for organizations to proactively navigate the migration to post-quantum cryptography.
To support this transition, VNet and Quantropi are actively developing a comprehensive ecosystem dedicated to research, training, and testing post-quantum security technologies. This initiative includes an information portal and technical documentation at https://quantum.vnet.vn/, a simulation and practical testing environment (Sandbox) at https://quantum-sandbox.vnet.vn/, and a community forum at https://quantum-forum.vnet.vn/.
These digital spaces are designed to connect experts, researchers, engineers, and enterprises, facilitating knowledge exchange, experience sharing, solution testing, and the accelerated adoption of advanced technologies in Vietnam.
